Neighborhood Civic Leadership

Program Overview

CHW has a variety of training tools for our resident community leaders – from an 8 session institute that helps resident and neighborhood group leaders set visions/mission/goals and action plan, deal with disagreements, and address communication across diversity — to a variety of modules that get rolled out on more specific issues that come up. Most are in Spanish and English. Most of CHW’s leadership focus is directed to strengthen a leader’s ability to mobilize their low income communities, often our affordable housing residents, around grassroots community development problems they have identified and want to solve (crime; kids’ school performance; local infrastructure), or to support affordable housing campaigns.
